Most likely you have landed in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico or La Paz, Mexico and you want to head toward the town of El Pescadero, Mexico. Coming from San Jose del Cabo, you will be heading West on Highway 1, then North on Highway 19, which brings you directly to our town of El Pescadero. Coming from La paz, you are going to be heading South West, first on Highway 1, then on Highway 19. It doesn't matter which airport you choose, it's easy to get to San Pedrito Surf Hotel.
On the trip from and back to San Jose del Cabo, you will encounter road construction. Please make sure that you allow enough time to get back to San Jose del Cabo airport for your flight home. The Mexican road crews are working diligently to complete the new four lane highway which will be faster and safer for everyone. Keep in mind that there may be animals crossing the road, yes even the completed highway to La Paz. It is still Mexico folks, so drive cautiously.
Enjoy the view of the desert on one side and the blue Pacific Ocean on the other. This is the Mexican frontier, which only became a state of Mexico in 1974. When you travel outside of Cabo San Lucas, this area is mostly untouched by modern technology. You are taking a step back in time, where people live simple farming lives and enjoy the company of their neighbors, while they gather together at the local eateries. The people of this land are congenial, open and generous. We highly recommend Rosie's Loncheria when you arrive in El Pescadero, Mexico. Sarah the cook will delight you with the fresh flavors right from the farms of this amazing area. This Loncheria is my personal favorite for breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros are unsurpassed.
